SUMMER BIOLOGY: THE FOLLOWING ASSIGNMENTS ARE FOR YOU TO DO IN THE CLASSROOM. THERE
ARE VARIOUS ACTIVITIES THAT I WILL HAVE YOU DO OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM TO
PREPARE FOR UPCOMING STUDIES AND THE SECOND SEMESTER. YOU WILL BE
REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL ACTIVITIES WITH THE GROUP. MY OBJECTIVE IS TO
BALANCE THIS CLASS WITH HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES THAT WILL HELP YOU LEARN THE
CONCEPTS. YOU WILL GAIN A BETTER UNDERSTANDING BY FOLLOWING ALL ACTIVITIES
ASSIGNED. Week 1 (June 4th-June 8th)- We will be concentrating on labs and book work mostly. There is no field trip scheduled for this week. Week 2 (June 11th-June15th)- Textbook and labs, plus, we will have a field trip on Friday, June 15th to the Federal Fish Hatchery in Yankton, SD. Plant labs are planned for this week and monitoring the on-going labs is a must. There are several things that I
would like you to do outside of the classroom this week: Week 3 (June 18th-June22nd)- After this week we will be at the midpoint and should have completed the first semester of this course. Some labs may carry-over into week 4. I will add and update this webpage as we go.
